Body of Water

After a bachelor party, a suspended German federal cop is pulled out of the Vltava River in Prague. Because he speaks Czech, federal inspector Jan Koller is sent to investigate his colleague's death and keep any embarrassing details under wraps. So he has to go to the Czech Republic, where he grew up and has very bad memories of. He accepts the assignment reluctantly. In Prague, the theater-loving detective uses very offbeat methods: On a ride through the city on a party tram, between dumplings, prostitutes and shooting ranges, Koller has the revelers minutely reenact the night of the murder. The suspects and his Czech partner Klára Majerova are not amused. But Koller manages not only to unearth the victim's deepest family secrets, but finds an unexpected lead to the killer digging through the dirty laundry of the Prague gallery scene.
