Border Patrol: The Sikorska Case

Inspectors Olga Lenski and Adam Raczek find they have not one but two cases on their hands when the body of an au pair recovered from the River Oder leads them to the unsolved 15-year-old disappearance of another young girl from the same house.

When the body of 19-year old Paula Borchert is recovered from the River Oder near Frankfurt, Inspector Olga Lenski and her colleague Adam Raczek are brought in to investigate. Paula had only recently been hired as an au pair by Leo Heise. Leo, a single parent, lives with his two small children in the home of his parents, Katarzyna Heise and Gerd Heise. Paula was a sociable, outgoing girl and made friends easily, but she hadn't taken her au pair job particularly seriously. During their inquiries, the detectives discover an old case involving the Heise family: 15 years previously, Julia Sikorska, daughter of Katarzyna and step-daughter of Gerd Heise disappeared without a trace. Pawel Sikorski, Julia's biological father, has always suspected that Gerd Heise was involved and believes that he sexually assaulted Julia. Olga and Adam must discover whether Julia Sikorska's disappearance is connected to the death of Paula Borchert …
