A look into the future

While playing, one of Louis' marbles accidentally lands in the garden, where it falls into the hands of little gnome Nicky. Hilda mistakes the marble for a "magic ball", and so Nicky pretends to tell Hilda's fortune by taking a deep look into his “magic warble”. He even takes pains to make his prediction come true. Soon, news of his great forecasting skills spreads like wildfire in the garden. The garden creatures queue up to have their future told. Although Petronella and the twins quickly find out about Nicky’s scheme, none of the others believe that Nicky’s magical "warble" is just a regular marble. And Nicky certainly does not want to return the marble to its rightful owner Louis. But Petronella, Leah and Louis beat Nicky at his own game: Thanks to Petronella's witchcraft, Nicky's predictions come true in a much more spectacular way – and everyone is so excited by this that they won’t give Nicky a single moment of peace and quiet. This is too much, even for the cheekiest gnome! In the end, Nicky is happy to hand over the marble and to go back to being just a regular mischief-maker.
