THE PALACE - Eps 2

Preparations for the premiere are in full swing. Chris is rehearsing again, and she invites Marlene to the premiere. When her sister accepts, the impending reunion boosts Chris' energy levels. She delivers a great performance in rehearsals and - much to Bettina Wilke's displeasure - is given the solo position. Bettina becomes part of the supporting cast and stays right behind Chris.

Doris tries to explain herself to Marlene while the father, Roland Wenninger, is stubborn and remains silent about the past.

The premiere and Chris' solo are a great success, and the reunion of the sisters is the perfect end to a wonderful evening.
When Marlene finds out that her mother is in hospital and needs rest, she convinces Chris to switch identities. Marlene wants to go to the hospital incognito to finally meet her mother. Chris is supposed to go to Bavaria as Marlene to see the father there. Maybe she can get him to talk. Chris hesitates though. Crossing the border with her sister's passport is dangerous. Besides, Chris' daughter Lilia has an important audition which she really shouldn’t miss.
Marlene finds a solution and presses her passport into her sister's hand. Chris will be back in time for Lilia's performance, and nobody will find out that she is not the woman in the passport photo.
