Veterinary Philip Hansen spends the summer in Waldau with his daughters Greta and Lilie, his niece Nelly and any number of furry friends, while his wife Annette is in Hamburg, taking care of her mother. A huge hornets' nest under the roof, buzzards with wildlife cameras, cute and chaotic St. Bernard pups, and a caravan of camels in the middle of the Black Forest keep Nelly and her animal rescue squad busy! When Josefine Grieshaber volunteers to help out in the Hansen household, Lilie worries her dad is having an affair. The big question is, who will celebrate New Year's Eve with whom...?
