A Murderous Idea (3/3)

Bomb threats keep the Magdeburg police so busy in one part of the city that they cannot respond to a 110 call from the port at the other side - with fatal consequences.
An unknown person is threatening to bomb the branches of a supermarket chain. The first explosion is a clear statement of just how serious he is. A massive police deployment is launched with Brasch and Drexler being called to the various crime scenes. At the same time, at the port at the other end of the city, a security guard is frantically trying to call 110 for assistance. With the entire police force tied up with the bomb threats, there is no one to help him. Next morning his body is found dead. Initial investigations reveal that a huge robbery has taken place at the port: smartphones valued at three million euro have been stolen from a container. There is no CCTV footage from the night of the robbery as the recordings were manipulated. When investigating the bombing the detectives find that the surveillance footage there had also been interfered with. Can it really be a coincidence that the police are kept on high alert by bomb threats on the very night of a major, well-planned heist?
