House-Hunting Birds (25/34)

Birds are entirely delivered to thunderstorms and are not in a position to just find a safe place. A storm leaves destructive traces behind: creeks are flooding from tributary valleys, deluging gravel banks and thereby endanger e.g. the little ringed plover's and the coal tit's breed which live between the roots of large conifers. Many bird species are now using their ability to fly and have relocated their nursery grounds to secure heights. This documentary is about the development of new nest shapes and also reveals the new dangers comprised in these new designs.

Moving animal stories, amazing nature photography and exciting expeditions are the varied themes of Nature Exclusive. This doc series introduces us to the whole plethora of flora and fauna, landscapes and environments, imparting important info on the planet we inhabit.
