The Six Swans

Constance discovers her brothers have been turned into swans by a curse, and to get them back, she has to stay silent for six years and sew them shirts of nettles. But then the Prince falls in love with her...

On her 18th birthday, Constance discovers a well-kept secret: She once had six brothers whom her father cursed in a rage one day and turned into snow-white swans. Constance is the only person who can lift the curse: if she doesn't speak for six years and sews shirts out of stinging nettles, which can turn the swans back into humans. Constance doesn't hesitate a second: She immediately leaves the farm and her rueful father, bravely heads into the dark woods and starts her painful task. In the woods, she meets the Prince of their country, who falls in love with the mysterious silent beauty and marries her against his mother's wishes. While Constance tries to protect her love and fulfill her vow, her jealous mother-in-law's hatred grows more and more. She lays a web of deceit and libel around the innocent girl...
