Global Screen has closed a major deal with Warner Bros. for LUIS AND THE ALIENS, produced by Ulysses Films, Fabrique d’Images and A. Film Production. The theatrical roll-out for the charming adventure is set in UK for August 24th, 2018.

LUIS AND THE ALIENS tells the story of the 12-year-old boy Luis who makes friends with three awkward little aliens who crash their spaceship near to Luis' house in a small midwestern city. In return for Luis' help finding the home shopping channel stuff they came for, they try to save Luis from boarding school - and a tumultuous adventure takes its course.

“We are thrilled to be teaming up with such a renowned partner as Warner Bros. to bring this outstanding and highly entertaining film to UK audiences this summer”, says Klaus Rasmussen, Global Screen's Senior Sales and Acquisitions Manager. The fresh and entertaining feature film for the entire family is written and directed by Academy Award® winners Christoph Lauenstein and Wolfgang Lauenstein. This successful brother duo is also behind Global Screen’s latest high-profile 3D-animated film MARNIE’S WORLD, a film about a smart cat and her quirky friends who finds themselves in a bigger-than-life adventure.

MARNIE'S WORLD, which we were first able to show at this year's Marché du Film, brims with verbal gags, action and adventure, and offers great entertainment for the whole family. We are proud that we’ve some of the most prolific distributors for animation and family entertainment films already on board”, states Julia Weber, Head of Theatrical Sales & Acquisitions at Global Screen.

The film about the spoiled house cat Marnie, who is lured into a secret agent job that finally brings her out onto the streets and teams her up with a bunch of runaway animals - a donkey, a dog and a rooster - to track down a gang of notorious thieves, is selling very well. Rights for France were picked up by Septieme Factory, and further deals have been closed for Spain (Flins y Peniculas), China (Vision Film), Hungary (ADService), Latin America (CDC Film), Portugal (Films4You), Turkey (TME), Bulgaria (Pro Film), Russia & Ukraine (Voxell), Indonesia (Onevision), Middle East (Shooting Stars), Philippines (Crystalsky), South Korea (Yejilim), Vietnam (Rainfilm), Greece (Zinos Panagiotidis S.A.) and Malaysia (Suraya) with the UK and Scandinavia currently in negotiation.

MARNIE'S WORLD is produced by scopas medien Germany in co-production with Grid Animation Belgium.
