Mothers and Daughters

Father Hauke, daughter Swantje and, in her eyes at least, wholly unreliable prodigal brother, Sönke are working (somewhat reluctantly) together to secure the future of the family's airfield, when, out of the blue, their mother Britta returns to the coast. She had left the family 20 years previously for another man. Now she wants to reconcile with her children. 35-year-old Swantje still can’t forgive her – but at the same time she has first-hand experience of motherhood and knows just how difficult it can be. Her daughter Jule is every inch the rebellious teenager and is constantly locking horns with Swantje. When it looks like the worst has happened, though, Swantje realises that she can actually rely on all members of the Hansen family.
